Many events and conversations over the last couple of months have brought home to me that life is meant for living, and there is no time to waste. I was harshly reminded this week that we don’t know how many tomorrows we might have, or when they will stop coming.
Plans for the future can all be blown to hell in an instant—by a sentence spoken, or a single action, or someone else’s thoughtless decision. Lives that are in the middle of being lived can be cut short, or can be snatched back from the edge with a miracle.
Don’t take the future for granted. If there is someone you love, find them and tell them. Hold them. Kiss them. Keep your promises. Remember that you might not have another chance.
Never forget that.
