I can’t help but laugh when I watch my little pug Ling Ling run. I wish I had a photo to post! She does it with a joy and a sense of abandon that makes you envy her. She uncurls her corkscrew tail, tucks her tail and her little butt under (for some reason), throws her head back, and runs as fast and far as she can, with her ears flapping in the breeze as she goes.
Tonight as I watched her, I found myself wondering how much happier we would all be if we approached life—or at least some part of it—with that same sense of joy and abandon! What if each of us threw ourselves into something we love doing? Playing with a puppy, or a child, or laughing with friends, or running, or riding a motorcycle across the country… letting our ears flap in the breeze as we go.
What if we allowed that kind of happiness into our lives? How do you think our world would change? Think about it.
